Event description

Discover the magic of the Green Connect farm!

Just 13 minutes’ drive south of Wollongong CBD you’ll discover Green Connect Farm, an 11-acre award-winning urban farm. Green Connect Farm follows organic farming and permaculture principles to produce vegetables, fruit, herbs, nuts, eggs, honey and free-range meat.

Your 90-minute experience will include an interactive and informative tour, as well as time to explore the children’s garden. You’ll visit the thriving market gardens and food forests and seek out the free-range goats, sheep, pigs and chickens to offer them a pat and a feed! You’ll learn about the incredible story of the Green Connect Farm and hear about how we work with nature to grow and distribute food in a truly sustainable way.

This tour is designed for anyone wanting to experience the abundance and beauty of the Green Connect Farm and find out a bit more about permaculture principles and practices. There will be lots of opportunities to get hands-on, engage your senses, and ask questions as you explore this magical space.

If you're interested in what else we offer at Green Connect farm, we invite you to explore all our other exciting programs hereFrom farm playgroup, birthday parties and curriculum-aligned school tours right through to private tours or community and corporate volunteer days there is something for everyone at Green Connect farm.

Before you book, please consider the following:

  • The site is a working farm. Visitors must participate in a safety briefing before entering and children must be actively supervised by caregivers whilst on site.
  • The terrain at the farm is particularly steep and slippery in parts. Though we do take it slowly, the tour involves a moderately strenuous walk and is not suitable for prams, wheelchairs, or people with moderate mobility restrictions.
  • Plants love rain and so do we! We don't cancel tours in wet weather unless there is a dangerous storm. Rain (and mud!) is all part of the fun.
  • Allergen advice: Our farm is home to domestic animals as well as bees, wasps and macadamia trees. Please pack an Epipen if allergic and keep it with you at all times.

All tour participants must:

  • Wear enclosed shoes or boots (no thongs or sandals allowed) and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Long pants are recommended.
  • Bring a hat and sunscreen or raincoat, depending on the weather forecast.

Tickets:

  • A ticket must be purchased for each person who wishes to enter the farm and participate in the farm tour.
  • Each adult may supervise a maximum of 4 children.

Refund Policy:

  1. Tickets are fully refundable up to 7 days before the tour date and time
