Green Drinks - Defending the Deep
Event description
We are only beginning to discover the diversity, interconnections, and importance of life in the deep ocean—and how it shapes the health of our entire planet. 🌏🌊
Right now, this extraordinary ecosystem is under serious threat from deep sea mining. But here’s the good news: it hasn’t started yet. Together, we have the chance to raise our voices, stand in solidarity, and call for a moratorium to protect these fragile environments before it’s too late.
This month’s Green Drinks dives into what’s at stake and how we can defend the deep.
🗣️ Roz Rolls – Permaculture Teacher and Chairperson of the Cook Islands–based organisation kiaTAERIA (Towards Awareness of our Environmental Responsibility and Individual Action) – will share her insights on the deep ocean and the urgent need to safeguard it.
