Green Steps 2023: Consultancy Project Final Presentations
Event description
Consultancy Project Final Presentations
Every year, the Monash Sustainable Development Institute runs its award-winning Green Steps program, facilitating innovative and practical sustainability leadership training for selected Monash students. This year’s program took place from July to August, training 28 emerging leaders.
Following Green Steps training, students had the option to apply for a 25-hour, team-based consultancy role undertaking a sustainability-related project with Monash's Campus Sustainability or Enel Green Power. This event marks the conclusion of the consultancy project work, through a formal presentation of five student consultancy findings.
The consultancy projects include:
- Borrow Cup Reimplementation Plan (with Campus Sustainability)
- Tackling food and waste at Caulfield Campus (with Campus Sustainability)
- Developing a behaviour change intervention and comprehensive guide for cycling to Monash (with Campus Sustainability)
- Potential co-use of land at large-scale solar power plants (with Enel Green Power)
- Community benefit-sharing initiatives for large-scale renewable projects in Australia (with Enel Green Power)
Join us to hear this year’s Green Steps cohort present their consultancy projects in an interactive and engaging presentation.
Following the student presentations, Susie Ho & Simone Pianko will join the stage to discuss their insights and lessons learned through their seasoned careers in sustainability. We will then wrap up the event with a light afternoon tea.
We hope to see you there.
