GreenHomeNYC Passive House Tour: Sendero Verde
Event description
Come join GreenHomeNYC in partnership with Passive House Network to take a tour of the largest multifamily residential Passive House in the United States: Sendero Verde in East Harlem, New York.
The event fee is $10 for general admissions and $5 for student admissions. Please note we have a limit of 45 people, so you must secure a ticket in order to attend.Â

Passive House is a building certification that prioritizes the dramatic reduction of energy use to heat and cool spaces. Sendero Verde is the largest multifamily residential Passive House in the United States that just opened in March 2024. It offers healthy indoor air quality and superior thermal comfort, consuming only a small fraction of the energy used by conventional buildings to heat, cool and ventilate. Our tour guides will be from Handel Architects, the building’s architect, and Steven Winter Associates, the building’s sustainability consultant.Â

Option 2: BUS - M1, M101, M102, M103Â Lines
NOTE: We will assemble at 8:50am. To respect the time of our hosts and guests, the event will begin promptly at 9am. Please note that tickets are non-refundable.
