Event description

Greening General Practice

AfterHours Webinar

General Practice is being affected by climate change. GPs are seeing the impacts on our patients and like the rest of our communities, we are bearing the brunt of extreme weather events and its effects on infrastructure.

General Practitioners have a responsibility and an opportunity to address climate change by greening general practice.

We can reduce the carbon footprint of our practices and we can practice climate friendly medicine to protect our patients from harm. We can  recognise the effects of climate change on our region and be ready for extreme weather events when they strike. We can demonstrate to our communities that we recognise that human health impacts of climate change and that we are doing everything in our power to reduce our own carbon footprint and protect their health.
