Grey Gala

Have a fabulous, grey old time at our opening gala 

Grey is open-ended. Grey is vibrant. Grey fills the night with possibility. Especially when we’re hosting our opening weekend gala within the concrete confines of Tadao Ando’s iconic MPavilion. And you’re invited.   

It’s an artist-run event—with help from the art-party experts at Carne—here to clear a clean, grey slate for performance, art, drag and fashion. DJs Eric Della Bosca, Ezz Monem and Ponie Curtis will be on the decks, showing us the light. Performers Ari Angkasa, Andrea Illés, Brodie Kokkinos and Hamish McIntosh, JC the GUY, Linh Uendo and Scarlett So Hung Son—along with visual artists Ayman Kaake and Ponie Curtis—will be there, each responding to the space, playing with themes of transition and speculation.  

We’re going for demure tones that belie a technicolour energy. A celebration of the infinite in the interplay of concrete and nature. Dress up in your most audacious, gala-worthy grey and help us kick off the new season in style.
