Description

Join us for online gatherings about how we can better navigate grief, loss, death and dying, with Jacqui Williams from End of Life Transitions.

Each 2-hour session, we will address the specific listed topics prompting your reflection on:

  • Why we find talking about grief, loss, death and dying challenging

  • The role we can each play in building a Compassionate Community for those grieving or facing end of life

Workshop 1: An Introduction to Grief and Loss — 18 September, 10 am–12 pm AEST (Zoom)

  • Learn about types of grief, ways people grieve, research and theories on grief

Workshop 2: An Introduction to Death and Dying — 25 September, 10 am–12 pm AEST (Zoom)

  • Demystifying death and dying, and having conversations to prepare better us and those around us, including Advance Care Planning and letting others know what matters most to us in life

You are welcome to join one or both sessions, along with a warm cup of your favourite tea, coffee, or beverage of choice!

About Jacqui Williams

Founding End of Life Transitions in 2018, Jacqui has established herself as one of Australia's most active End of Life Doulas, along with delivering funeral and memorial ceremonies and facilitating end-of-life education. Jacqui's calming presence provides an opportunity for others to explore who and what matters most to them; engage in deeply important conversations about life, death, grief and loss; and participate in co-crafting ceremonies that represent the true essence of the person they are for.

Along with engaging individuals and families who are well, Jacqui also supports persons living with an early or advanced life-limiting diagnosis, those who are dying, and provides after-death guidance, ceremony and bereavement support. Passionate about building Compassionate Communities, Jacqui enjoys engaging locally, nationally and internationally to build grief and death literacy and to share the essence of the End of Life Doula role.
