Grief Stitching Circle - Online

Grief Stitching helps hold what feels too big to hold. This stitching circle is a safe space for exploring and releasing grief and loss and is facilitated by a registered Expressive Arts Therapist. Explore the intersection of textiles (specifically slow stitching), creativity, connection, and grief through expressive arts processes.

Slow stitching is an intentional process of hand stitching using assorted fabrics, a variety of knots, and free stitching. There is no need for "neat outcomes" or pretty completed projects. Slow stitching techniques embrace imperfection and wonky stitching. You work at your pace; we don't finish a piece per session but rather build a body of slow-stitched work progressively over several months. This group is intended as a semi-closed community that gathers together fortnightly for 12 weeks.
