Would you like to grow more and eat more of your own vegetables? Fresh, healthy and with no nasty unknown chemicals. The “Grow More Eat More” summer gardening program will help you with some of the super important foundations of a successful garden. Plus, ways to make it easier for those that have a busy life.
There will be 4 separate sessions run on Sunday mornings at the Mt Atkinson Community Centre. 10am to 12:30
Come for one session or come for them all.
Pest Control - Busting the myths – 4th of December
Composting – Build the foundation for success – 19th February
Planting – What and when – 19th March
Wicking Beds - Making watering easier – TBC
This session will be run by Jono, from Eat Grow Garden and Jess, from Western Health. Both are super passionate and knowledgeable about gardening. They will help you get a better yield, showing you ways to be mote sustainable and how to have healthy gardens full of fresh food. If you are new to gardening, they will guide you through the steps. If you are experienced, they will add to your wider knowledge and perhaps even borrow some of yours for the group.
Places a limited so the group doesn’t get too big.
Each session will be held at the Edmund Rice Services, Mt Atkinson Community Centre.
