Location details and parking: This event is at Mitchell Park Neighbourhood Centre (Rooms A and B on the map) which is located inside the Mitchell Park Sports and Community Centre. Free parking is available in the carpark off of Moreland Avenue. A drop off option is also available in the carpark. Then, head through the main entrance doors via the flat open path. Once inside, immediately turn right towards the Neighbourhood Centre room.
Public transport: Mitchell Park Sports and Community Centre is accessible via bus. Local bus stops include:
Stop 24 Marion Rd - East side which is a 700m walk via footpaths along Quick Road and Moreland Avenue to Mitchell Park Sports and Community Centre.
Stop 25 Bradley Grove – East Side and 26 Bradley Grove West Side. Both are a 150 m walk to the Bradley Grove entrance to the centre.
You can also catch a train via the Flinders Line to Mitchell Park Railway Station which is a 300m walk to the Bradley Grove entrance to the centre.
Event schedule:
6:20 pm: Attendees arrive, grab a hot drink and light refreshments (tea, coffee and biscuits) and are seated
6:30 pm: Welcome, acknowledgement of country
6:40 pm: Growing great fruit trees presentation
Approx 7:20 pm: 10-minute break
8:00 pm: Event finishes
Event accessibility information:
Auditory: The presenter will use a voice amplifier system and will present the workshop verbally in English.
People with mobility aids, wheelchairs and prams: The carpark has accessible parking and is a short and flat walk to the front entrance. The front entrance door automatically opens. There is a clear pathway to the Neighbourhood Centre room and the door to this room will be open. The room will include seating around tables. Space will be saved for wheelchair users.
Power points: Power points are available in the Neighbourhood Centre room for charging accessibility devices.
Bathrooms: The centre has male, female and accessible bathrooms as well as a parenting room
