Women in Rotary and the Whitehorse Cluster Rotary Clubs are proud to present GROWING GREAT GIRLS: an online fundraising event to celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child.
Join us on Sunday 11th October at 7pm as we hear from two inspirational and very accomplished young women. Jessica Watson OAM made history in 2010 when she became the youngest person to sail the world solo and non-stop at age 16. She is also the co-founder of a marine start-up and and a Youth Ambassador for the United Nations World Food Programme. Yasmin Poole is an award-winning speaker, writer and youth advocate. She is currently Plan International's Youth Ambassador. Our event will be once again hosted by the lovely Danielle Storey, who is CEO of Eastern Innovation Business Centre and a professional speaker, emcee and mentor.
Proceeds will be donated to Days For Girls; a global movement that prepares and distributes sustainable menstrual health solutions to girls who would otherwise miss school during their monthly periods.
