Have you ever wanted to grow your own herbs and beneficial plants but weren’t sure where to start? Whether for health, culinary use, or garden sustainability, herbs and medicinal plants offer a wealth of benefits for both people and the environment.

Join Transition South Barwon for an informative and hands-on seminar with Shaun McLeod, an expert in Intuitive Garden Design and Maintenance, as he shares insights on growing herbs and plants that nourish, heal, and support biodiversity.

This session will explore:
✅ Nutrient-rich herbs – the benefits of herbs
✅ Companion planting – how herbs can improve soil health and support other plants
✅ Pollinator-friendly plants – attracting bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects
✅ Growing in any space – from garden beds to pots and windowsills
✅ Harvesting and using your herbs – what can herbs be used for

This is a free community event, and we invite attendees to bring a small contribution for a shared afternoon tea—a great opportunity to connect, exchange gardening tips, and learn from each other.

This event is proudly run by Transition South Barwon in partnership with the Grovedale Neighbourhood House and funded by the City of Greater Geelong.
