Hidden Disability Sunflower

We proudly support the Hidden Disability Sunflower Program and encourage anyone with a sunflower lanyard, wristband or pin to wear them to the event. We will also have some Sunflower Lanyards available for anyone who would like to use one. Wearing a sunflower product let’s us know that someone has a non-visible disability such as autism and may need some additional support or time. You can learn more about the program and where to find Sunflower Products by heading to: https://hdsunflower.com/au/

Sensory information

Unfortunately, we are unable to have a quiet room at this venue. We will, however, aim to keep the event as sensory-friendly as possible. The theatrette will have low lighting we will try to have the microphones turned down to a low setting. If you feel overwhelmed at any time during the seminar feel free to step outside for a bit and come back in whenever you want. There is a library located in the same building as well as some nice outdoor seating areas that may be nice sensory-friendly options if you need some time out. This is also a stim-friendly event so if you need to stim feel free to do so. We will also have a selection of sensory tools from our friends at Kaiko Fidgets available for you to borrow.
