Event description

Gain the skills and confidence to raise your own vegetables from seed. Raising veg and herbs from seed is fun and affordable and gives you access to a more interesting range of varieties including heirloom and locally saved seeds.

You’ll learn about:
• When to grow different veggies in our region
• Using seed raising and potting mix, how to create your own
• Sowing different types of seeds correctly
• How to nurture, protect and care for young seedlings
• When and how to transplant/pot up

Bring along a few small pots and one small punnet to take home your potted up plants and seeds.
Children welcome (with an adult).
