Join us for an insightful and supportive event designed for community members, grieving individuals, those supporting loved ones through grief, and health professionals. Our carefully selected keynote speakers will inspire, encourage, and educate on the process of grief and healing.

* Paul O'Rourke will offer a unique perspective on grief, drawing from his experiences in the corporate world and leadership roles in both the newspaper and charity sectors. Now running his own mentoring business, Paul focuses on encouraging, challenging, and listening to men from all walks of life. He has authored four books, covering topics such as children, leadership, poverty, and a biography. Paul and his wife Janine have three adult children and four grandchildren. Paul is an engaging speaker not to be missed especially for our male community members.

* Elysia Cunningham will share valuable insights on building resilience and offer practical strategies for navigating the grieving process. Her approach is designed to support individuals as they find strength and healing, providing strategies to cope with loss. As a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 year's experience working with individuals from all walks of life, her aim in therapy is to get to know people as individuals, so she can tailor treatments to suit each person. She currently works in both private practice and with the Department of Health, and has previously worked in forensic mental health, education, and disability services. She loves living on the North West Coast, with its beautiful scenery and friendly people.

* Nerrelie Cann will explore how the 'body keeps score' in grief. She will share insights on how loss affects our physical health and provide guidance on recognizing and addressing the body’s responses to loss.
Nerrelie is an experienced GP who returned to Tasmania with a young family in 2003 and has worked at Patrick Street Clinic in Ulverstone for more than 20 years. Nerrelie loves her general practice work and has an interest in the interaction between physical and emotional wellbeing. Nerrelie has had a long affiliation with New Mornings and in recent years has supported the Grief and Loss program with intake and group facilitation.
