Gender and Sexuality Politics Conference (GSPC)
Event description
We are thrilled to welcome you to the inaugural Gender and Sexuality Politics Conference (GSPC), co-hosted by the APSA Women’s Caucus and LGBTQIA+ Caucus. This flagship event has received over 40 paper submissions, representing scholars from 11 Australian universities and 10 international institutions, bringing together a wide range of voices, perspectives, and experiences.
The program spans a wide range of timely and critical themes, including:
Gender politics and policy-making
Feminist international relations
Decolonial (feminist) theory and practice
Backlash against women’s and/or LGBTQIA+ rights
The media, arts, and legal reform
Men and masculinities
Politics and resistance of non-binary, genderqueer, intersex, and trans communities
To ensure accessibility and affordability for all scholars, the GSPC will be online only. We will make full use of online opportunities for networking, mentoring, relationship-building and sharing with one another.
