WEDNESDAY 20 NOVEMBER - WORKSHOP
Time: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Location: Exploration Data Centre, 68 Pineapple Street, Zillmere
Capacity: 40 attendees
This Mineral Systems of Queensland Workshop will offer a variety of dynamic talks from leading geoscience professionals, core viewing sessions, and state-of-the-art geoscientific instrument demonstrations.
The workshop will focus on intrusion-related gold and LCT pegmatite deposits of north east Queensland. In addition to the talks and core viewing, GSQ will also showcase applications of multiple cutting-edge analytical techniques to characterise mineralisation and alteration signatures of key deposit types in Queensland, including live demonstrations of BRUKER TORNADO M4PLUS, Agilent 4300 Handheld FTIR Spectrometer, LIBS, and HyLogger-3. These instruments are transforming the way we explore and understand mineral systems, and you will have a chance to see them in action.
THURSDAY 21 NOVEMBER - DIGGING DEEPER CONFERENCE
Time: 8:30am – 4:30pm
Location: Auditorium, 111 George Street, Brisbane
Capacity: 110 attendees
Join us as we showcase the breadth of work undertaken by GSQ over the past 12 months, including presentations from our key collaborators. You can expect to hear talks on regional geophysics, solid geology mapping, magnetotelluric surveys, funding initiatives, mineral systems updates and much, much more. An agenda will be circulated closer to the event which will include presentation topics and speakers.
Digging Deeper is an in-person only event, however the majority of presentations will be recorded and made available for viewing on YouTube following the event.
An interactive poster display session will shine a spotlight on the fantastic work being undertaken by a host of students and early career researchers. Prizes will be up for grabs for the top posters and digital copies of the posters will also be available.
From 4:30pm onwards a networking event hosted by Graphinex Limited will be held at Ryan's on the Park, Treasury Brisbane.

Capacity: 30 attendees per workshop (registration is required for each workshop)
- NEQ geophysics workshop (8:30am – 12:30pm)
GSQ, in collaboration with Geoscience Australia, recently flew a series of new geophysical surveys in Northeast Queensland including a high resolution magnetic and radiometric survey, two airborne EM surveys and a regional airborne gravity gradiometry survey. At this workshop we will delve deeper into the survey data, showcase the current workings and provide opportunities to chat with experts on elements in the data relevant to your programs. - Geoscience Information Workshop (1:00pm – 4:30pm)
Join the Geoscience Information team as they plunge headfirst into the GSQ data environment and learn how you can make the most of our burgeoning data systems! We’ll be covering topics such as search and download techniques as well as providing you with insights into the investment we are making in artificial intelligence to extract even more value from the resource rich data we hold.
