Location: 1 Nicholas Street, Ipswich Council

Session 1: Flood Intel – General User Training

Time: 08:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Audience:
Open to all Council departments, Local Disaster Management Group (LDMG) members, and external liaison agencies. Up to 30+ participants have attended this session.

Overview:
This session provides a comprehensive introduction to the Flood Intel system. Participants will learn how to interact with the dashboard, navigate intel cards, generate reports and PDFs, and understand how to gather valuable operational intelligence from internal departments and external agencies. Discussion will include identifying alerts and triggers relevant to specific operational areas such as drainage, pump stations, parks, gardens, and more.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Navigate the Flood Intel dashboard
  • Access and interpret intel cards
  • Generate reports and PDFs
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify critical triggers and alerts

Break: 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM

Session 2: Flood Intel – Administration / Super User Training

Time: 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Audience:
Restricted to designated Flood Intel Super Users (3–6 participants).
Prerequisite: Completion of the General User Training session.

Overview:
This advanced session equips Super Users with the knowledge and skills to configure, manage, and maintain the Flood Intel system at an administrative level. Participants will gain hands-on experience in system setup, management of alerts and triggers, decision support configuration, and detailed data analysis tools.

Important Notes:

  • All Super Users must attend the General User session before participating in the Super User Training.
  • It is suggested that laptops be available for hands-on activities during the Super User session.
