Guardian IMS - Road User Training
Event description
Aim:
This course is designed to give participants an overview and instruction on using the Guardian IMS Road User Management software, which the Council uses to record road and bridge closures in disaster and emergency events.
Objectives:
- How to create a Road Closure
- How to create a Known Trouble Spot
- Adding Traffic Schemes/management and attachment to known Trouble spots
- How to convert a Known Trouble spot into a Road Closure
- Naming convention with Road Closures for consistency with the message
- Using the Disaster Dashboard to view the road Closure (what the public sees)
- Monitoring Road Closures
- Opening Road Closures
Assumed knowledge/Prerequisites:
- No prerequisites required
Course Details
This training is delivered face-to-face over 3 hours by the Emergency Management Section.
