Indigenous Nursing Scholarship
The National Indigenous Knowledges Education Research Innovation (NIKERI) Institute at Deakin enables Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians the flexibility to access higher education while maintaining their family, work and community commitments.
Australian Rotary Health scholarship program is a jointly funded initiative between Rotary Clubs, State and Federal Governments to facilitate indigenous medical and nursing students to undertake training and achieve tertiary qualification to enable them to deliver vital services to remote Indigenous communities, thereby improve the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
RC Kardinia have contributed to these scholarships in the past and wish to participate again. With a contribution of $5,000 and a matching contribution from the Commonwealth Govt, we able to provide a scholarship for the 2nd and 3rd years of a nursing degree.
