Guide to Regional Benefit Sharing: how to create legacy outcomes for regions that host multiple renewable energy projects
Event description
As renewable energy projects accelerate across regional Australia, how can communities make the most of the benefits they bring?
Join us for the launch of our new Guide to Regional Benefit Sharing, a practical blueprint for coordinating how benefit sharing programs from renewable energy projects are shared with host communities. It responds to the growing reality that multiple projects are landing in the same places, often overwhelming communities with scattered, piecemeal grant programs.
In our work across REZ regions, we’ve seen a growing need to support communities to identify shared priorities and deliver legacy outcomes from renewable energy development. Without coordination, communities risk duplicated efforts, engagement fatigue and missed opportunities. With the right tools, however, they can lead the way in shaping how funds are pooled, prioritised and invested for long-term impact.
