Event description

The Australian Conservation Foundation Brisbane South & Logan Community Group invites you to join us for a guided bushwalk through Toohey Forest.

The walk will be led by well-known naturalist, Brad Lambert.

Brad is the Principal of the Brisbane Urban Environment Education Centre.

Brad has been described by Professor Daryl Jones as “probably the best all round naturalist” he knows.

Brad is a local resident and leader in his field. He has extensive experience as a field ecologist, a conservationalist, an educator, and who brings a comprehensive knowledge of the biodiversity and wildlife of Toohey Forest.

This walk promises to be a highly interesting and educational experience for all who attend.

Participation is FREE, however numbers will be limited, so ensure that you register to secure your place.

We’ll meet in the car park at the Griffith Eco Centre at 8:30 am sharp and the walk will take approximately 2 to 2 ½ hours.

Stay around afterwards for a shared morning tea and chat.

Bring water, a hat, sunscreen, binoculars and cameras if you have them, and a flask of tea or coffee and a snack for after the walk.

To get a feel for Brad’s work with Koalas in Toohey Forest, you can watch this seminar on You Tube https://youtu.be/2Cr3pirf9R8
