Guided Walk: Ellison's Gully (Brownhill Creek) - History Festival 2025
Event description
Guided Walk: Ellison's Gully (Brownhill Creek) - History Festival 2025
Guide: Councillor Andrew Tilley.
Andrew’s family have lived in the area for 5 generations, and his knowledge of the history of the area is unsurpassed. Starting at the old manure pits in Brownhill Creek, this walk includes the scenic beauty of Ellison's Gully, an historic stone bridge and disused silver mineshafts. See also the 140-year old Mitcham water works that once supplied Unley and Adelaide.
Two dates: Sunday 11 May 2025 and Sunday 25 May 2025
Good walking shoes required. Participants advised to bring their own water. Meet at the old manure pits just to the right of the junction of Tilley's Hill and Brownhill Creek Roads.
