Guildhouse Greets – Meet FABRIK Arts + Heritage!

Join us as we head to the hills and host Guildhouse Greets at FABRIK, welcoming the Guildhouse community of artists to Lobethal! This event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with FABRIK’s Director and staff and gain insights into the wide range of programs and resources on offer to support artists.

FABRIK Arts + Heritage celebrates textile heritage and the history of the Onkaparinga Woollen Mill. Weaving together contemporary art practices, local makers, First Nations cultural traditions, and international textile craftsmanship. FABRIK also emphasises textile sustainability, reuse, and recycling as part of its ongoing story, shaping the future of this unique and historic site.

This session will showcase how artists can make the most of the opportunities available at FABRIK, including:

• STUDIO HIRE
  A dedicated space for artists to immerse themselves in their practice, sell their work and meet visitors.
  
  
• HIRE
  A range of versatile spaces ideal for small and large events, workshops, maker sessions, informal gatherings and meetings (corporate to community).
  
  
• EXHIBITION PROGRAM
  FABRIK hosts a year round exhibition program, providing opportunities for artists to showcase their work, whether through solo or group exhibitions.
  
  
• WORKSHOP PROGRAM
  Collaborate with FABRIK through the workshop program, where you can share skills, develop new income streams, and expand your network.
  
  
• CURATED SHOP
  The newly built pavilion at FABRIK includes an exciting retail space stocking artisan wares (predominantly textile based), featuring local, national, and international artists.

After presentations, we will conclude the event with casual networking drinks where you will have the opportunity to mingle with other artists, create new connections and expand your community.

Guildhouse Greets is a new initiative from Guildhouse responding to our community's desire for more opportunities to network and break down the barriers to connection within the visual arts, craft, and design sector.  Learn more about Guildhouse.
