Bungendore Scout Group ANZAC Day Gunfire Breakfast
Event description
The 1st Bungendore Scout Group is proud to host the Bungendore community for the ANZAC Day Gunfire Breakfast. This annual tradition is run at the Scout Hall on Turallo Terrace. Everyone is welcome to come over to the Scout Hall after the ANZAC Day Dawn Service (usually from 0600) where there will be a hearty breakfast of bacon, eggs, sausages, baked beans, tomatoes, toast, tea and coffee and warming fires if the weather is chilly.
Tickets can be purchased in advance through this website. It is recommended to pre-purchase tickets rather than relying on getting tickets at the door. Tickets do often sell out.
The event is run solely by scouting families, volunteering their time. Mulloon Creek Natural Farm donates the eggs. The Rasker Family donates the baked beans. Bungendore Country Butchery provides the sausages and bacon and the Bungendore IGA provides the bread.
All proceeds from this event are donated to a charity that is selected by our Venturer scout youth members (aged 15-18 yrs). This year all proceeds will be going to Legacy. In past years, the sums donated have been over $1,000.
