Event description

Gunitá: [noun] memory; recollection; reminiscence; phantasm.

In coordination with NARRA Co-op, join us on Saturday, November 30, at the newly refurbished Great Hall, Parramatta's Town Hall, from 5 PM onwards for a night that honours the memories we’ve made, the milestones we’ve reached, and the sense of belonging we’ve nurtured as a community of young adults. This is more than an event—it’s a heartfelt celebration of how far we've come in 2024!

✨ What to Expect ✨

  • A night filled with soul-warming Filipino dishes in a three-course buffet 🍽️
  • Our annual awards ceremony to celebrate FSS highlights 🏆
  • Opportunities for genuine connections in a warm and welcoming atmosphere 🌿

💌 Raffle For A Cause 💌

We're teaming up with local Filipino businesses for a special raffle supporting Typhoon Kristine relief efforts. With just a $5 ticket, you could win incredible prizes from beloved community brands, including:

  • Authentic artisanal goods like Espadrilles and homeware from Bicol’s Best AU, bringing a touch of authentic Bicolano craftsmanship to your home.
  • Mini Pinoy Grill’s cheeky Putang Ina hot sauces and All Purpose Filipino BBQ Marinade—the perfect flavours to level up any backyard barbecue.
  • A gift card from Santo and Hiraya to pick up unique Coconut Wax Candles in signature scents like Halo Halo, Buko Pandan, and Ube Halaya.

As the academic year comes to a close, let's come together for a moment to pause, reflect, and appreciate the little moments that made this year so special. Let’s gather to celebrate these shared memories and look ahead to new ones.

🌸 Attire Theme: Sampaguita and Silk 🌸

Inspired by the Philippines' national flower, the Sampaguita, and the elegance of silk, this theme is all about a graceful, nostalgic vibe. Think:

  • Floral patterns or soft, neutral tones
  • Flowy silks, breezy fabrics like linen or chiffon
  • Traditional Filipino embroidery
  • Modern twists on Filipino attire

Mix and match for your own unique look!

Spread the word, mark your calendars, and remember—maybe not your messy situationship for this one. Find a better date for this heartfelt celebration. See you there!
