Melbourne's Gusto Gusto return to NZ to bring their second album Tyrannosauroborus to Auckland with an instrumental dance party at Whammy Bar.
The last two years have seen Gusto Gusto storming stages including Glastonbury Festival (UK), Dark Mofo (TAS) and Whare Flat Folk Festival (NZ) and playing shows with Skerryvore (SCO), Snarky Puppy (US) and Sex On Toast.
Amidst a whirlwind year with over 50 shows they found time to record a 13 track genre crossing album, a raucous instrumental blend of accordion, trumpet, clarinet and rocking rhythm section that traverses the worlds of funk, afrobeat, djent and celtic music.
This show is supported by local legends Big Tasty: an electrifying 8-piece funk and soul band that captivates audiences with their unique blend of classic funk and soul with an authentic Aotearoa sounds. Drawing inspiration from bands like Earth Wind and Fire, L.A.B and Fat Freddy’s Drop, There’s something for any listener to love.
