Gusto Gusto (AUS) Folk Funk Party with Mundi - Christchurch
Description
Melbourne's Gusto Gusto return to NZ to bring their second album Tyrannosauroborus to Christchurch with an instrumental dance party at A Rolling Stone.
The last two years have seen Gusto Gusto storming stages including Glastonbury Festival (UK), Dark Mofo (TAS) and Whare Flat Folk Festival (NZ) and playing shows with Skerryvore (SCO), Snarky Puppy (US) and Sex On Toast.
Amidst a whirlwind year with over 50 shows they found time to record a 13 track genre crossing album, a raucous instrumental blend of accordion, trumpet, clarinet and rocking rhythm section that traverses the worlds of funk, afrobeat, djent and celtic music.
This show is supported by local legends Mundi: "Filled with joy and exuberant energy, Mundi honours the earth and brings people together, evoking ancient memories and awakening the dancer within..."
