Event description

What is it?

GV Board Game Days are a community board game event hosted by Shepparton-based board game pop-up shop Little Plastic Fellas. A whole day of eating, drinking, admitting that rotational symmetry just isn't chief among your strengths, and being merry.

Anyone and everyone is welcome, and amongst the usual attendees there's a wide variety of tastes; from thematic adventure games, to card games, to brain-burning Euro games, to relaxing, cat-themed... and to be honest - also brain-burning - spatial puzzle games. There's something for everyone to get their teeth into.

If you're new, keep an eye out for spaces at tables (signified by an upstanding game box lid), or talk to Little Plastic Dave or one of the friendly regulars if you're not sure what to try out first.

The usual:

- Supervised children are absolutely welcome, and if there are any requests for particular kids' games we can get hold of, please let me know. There’s also a play area at the Peppermill

- Bring along any games you'd like to play. Dave brings a small selection of the LPF library, and there's usually a "hot game" table that has a new game permanently set up, but there isn't a large library present at these events

- There will be a small game shop at the event stocking a selection of games that take my fancy as I'm packing for the event. If you'd like to make sure I order and bring something specific, please message the facebook page

- If you have a spare seat at your table/room for extra players, place the game's lid upright on your table facing outward as a nerdy beacon to weary travellers

- We ask that, where possible, people try to support the venue by having a meal or two during the event. The Peppermill is a great venue at a very reasonable rate given its size, so as such, no outside food or drinks are allowed

- Please practise COVID-safe gaming. This means using personal hand sanitiser (or one of the sanitiser stations at the event) between games
