GV Pride bus tour | ChillOut Street Parade/Carnival on Sun 9 March

Join GOTAFE, Goulburn Valley Pride and the OUT in the OPEN Festival, march with us as part of ChillOut Festival's annual Street Parade, AND head along to the Carnival  event or enjoy the day out in Daylesford!

The chillout festival in Daylesford is BACK for another year and GV Pride are taking a bus over for the day. Chillout is Victoria's longest running regional pride event and brings together queers from across the State for 40+ events. This year's festival theme is Rainbow Circus Spectacular! What's on offer?

• Bus travel to and from Daylesford with thanks to Dysons and our fabulous volunteer driver, Jenni. 
• Opportunity to march in the Chillout Street Parade, starting at 11.00am.
• Enjoy watching the parade if you dont feel like marching. 
• Bus drops off at the Carnival Event, Daylesford. 
• Hang out in the town for the day in Daylesford and get a ride with us!

• Bus leaves at 7.30am from GOTAFE Shepparton, Fryers Street Campus. 
• The ticket you purchase with us is your bus ticket and marching registration to jump in and enjoy the street parade with us, GV Pride, or GOTAFE. 
• Pick-up locations in Mooroopna, Stanhope, Elmore and Bendigo possible - added, pending demand and bookings.
• Arrive back in Shepparton at 6.30pm.
• The Street Parade event is FREE. March with us or GOTAFE, or watch instead.
• Carnival Day entry is TICKETED, please pre-purchase your own ticket for entry here - Carnival Day - ChillOut Festival 2025. 
• Bring along: your own snacks or funds to buy food, water, sun protection, a jacket, portable charger for devices, headphones for the bus. Think about the weather forecast and dress appropriately for the region. 
• All welcome, including allies and non-queer folk.
• Under 18-year-olds MUST be supervised and accompanied by a parent/guardian.

• GV Pride volunteers will do their best to support needs identified by those attending but will not necessarily be able to provide one to one peer support for this event. 
• The rules of the Dyson bus are informed by the driver, generally this includes limited food or drink consumption on the bus. 
• The drive there is about 2.5 hours, with one 15-20 minute stop. 
• Daylesford has many hills, and the marching route and streets nearby require people tot ravel up and down hills. 
• The street parade event is generally attended by 5,000 people, much small compared to pride march in Melbourne. 
• The street parade will have animals, people, cars, trucks, people cheering, loud music, photography and likely other elements too. 
• The Carnival Event is held at Victoria Park, home to the Big Rainbow - Victoria Park Daylesford to be home of the Big Rainbow Hepburn Shire Council
• The Carnival Day site has gravel and dirt paths, and grassed areas. There are marquees and shady trees on site. 
• The Carnival Day site will have portable toilets, we are usure if these are all gender or gendered bathrooms.
