2026 Masterclass: Wattles AM

Wattles brighten our winter days but when it comes to planting: What Wattle and Where?

New for 2026 is an offer of a deeper dive into an area of interest. Masterclasses are limited to 20 attendees and will run for 45 minutes. Note that the Wattles masterclass will run at 0900 and then be repeated at 1300. Make sure you register for yuor preferred session.

Presenter, Richard Johnstone, now volunteers with Wildplant Rescue Nursery after a long career at Mt Annan Botanic Gardens where he worked as a Plant Records Officer and Seed Bank Officer.

Richard will give an overview of the dominant species in different areas of the mountains from lower to higher altitudes, what to consider when planting wattles in your garden and how to maintain them for best effect.
