Gypsy Cats with Ian Date @ Sunday Hot Club
Event description
Lighting the fire, The Gypsy Cats bring such wild vibrancy and exquisite musicianship to Sunday Hot Club, with Mircha Mangiacotti on guitar, Roberto Fontana on trumpet and Emma Hales on bass. From infectious uptempo swing and enchanting gypsy bossa to heartfelt traditional jazz ballads and the romance of French waltz, their music gets the blood going!
The Gypsy Cats invite Manouche heavy hitter Ian Date on guitar to join them for this special show. A real treat for us all!
Ian's career spans an impressive discography of more than 70 albums, each a testament to his virtuosity and creative prowess. Ian's strings have resonated alongside luminaries such as Nigel Date, Fapy Lafertin, Robin Nolan, the esteemed late Bob Barnard, Tom Baker, Andy Firth, the versatile James Morrison, and the iconic guitarists Tommy Emmanuel and Martin Taylor. His musical narrative is one of harmonious collaboration and profound contribution to the musical tapestry.
