This online seminar, delivered by the NSW DPIRD Animal Biosecurity team, focuses on avian influenza (AI) H5 preparedness for veterinarians. It provides essential guidance on detecting, managing, and biosecurity practices necessary to address AI cases in wildlife and backyard poultry. Participants will gain insights into safe handling and assessment of suspected AI cases, including biosecurity protocols, sample collection, and reporting requirements. The training aims to bolster veterinarians' response capabilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while protecting public health and local ecosystems.
