Habibi & Hüzün: Intimate Belly Dance Dinner Event
Event description
Habibi & Hüzün is an intimate night of dance, food, and solidarity in support of Gaza. Habibi means “my beloved” - a word of closeness and care. Hüzün captures a uniquely Turkish feeling of shared sorrow and longing, the kind that lingers quietly in music, memory, and community.
Your ticket includes a delicious Turkish meal with appetisers, a choice of chicken or beef main, and baklava for dessert. BYO drinks (corkage applies), with juices and soft drinks available. Throughout the evening, you'll experience Turkish and Egyptian dance performances and join in free dancing to close the night.
In this warm and welcoming space, hosted at the intimate Batch 10 Cafe, we come together to feel, to move, and to offer something meaningful. Every ticket supports humanitarian aid for Gaza.
Seating is casual and community-style. Tables are arranged in groups of five, and guests are welcome to sit wherever they feel comfortable on the night. Please message directly to enquire about child attendees.
Featuring belly dance performances from Ellie Maye Belly Dance (Kiama) and friends.
