HADESTOWN with Port Bus to Theatre Royal, Sydney

The acclaimed musical phenomenon HADESTOWN by singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and director Rachel Chavkin will make its Australian premiere at Theatre Royal Sydney in 2025.

Originating as Anaïs Mitchell’s indie theatre project, along with her artistic collaborator, Rachel Chavkin, Hadestown was transformed into a genre-defying musical that blends modern American folk music with New Orleans-inspired jazz to reimagine the sweeping ancient tale of Orpheus and Eurydice. The hit musical also won a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album.

Hadestown has something for everyone, making it a show all must see.

Itinerary:

Day 1: We depart the Port Bus by 11:00. Pickups along the way with our lunch stop @ Heatherbrae (choose between Heatherbrae Pies, Hungry Jacks, KFC, or Guzman & Gomez own cost. Dinner tonight is on-site in The Great Southern Bar.

Day 2: After breakfast, we check out, depart by 09:00, and head out to Moore Park for our SCG Tour. From here we make our way back to the city with half an hour to grab a bite to eat before showtime of 13:00. Stopping again at @ Heatherbrae (choose between Heatherbrae Pies, Hungry Jacks, KFC or Guzman & Gomez) for dinner. Bring a pillow for a snooze on the way home, back into Port around 21:45.
