12.30pm haka workshop participants arrive to be smoke cleansed and settle in.

1pm - 4pm Haka workshop  ($35)

4pm - 5pm intermission with food provided

5pm - 7pm New Moon Ceremony ($35)

7pm - 7.30pm tidy up mats, bolsters, cushions etc

7.30pm - 9pm Tea and connection.

Haka for life workshop (3 hours)

Matiu has over 30 years experience as a Maori language and performance teacher, he is an engaging facilitator, dynamic international musician, playwrite, storyteller and a leader amongst his own communities.

This interactive workshop will cover traditional Maori practices including the warrior energy of haka (traditional power dance), the hongi (sharing the breath of life), story, the art of introduction, song, and more.

This workshop also covers several simple yet extremely powerful masculine/feminine practices that are profoundly honoring, healing, connecting and empowering. The impact from this is currently sending waves around the planet.

We will deal with light and shadow.
This workshop is suitable for anyone up for real growth.

Participants will leave with ancient yet practical tools to support them in the way they stand, speak, listen, connect and move powerfully through this life.

NEW MOON CEREMONY (2 hours)

Experience a transformative and holistic journey of healing,

self-discovery, and connection with this New Moon Ceremony led by My

Secret Garden and Maha Medicine. At the new My Secret Garden Sanctuary.

What to Expect ~

We will honor the power of the evenings wintery New Moon in Cancer,

drink Cacao and then you will be safely guided by Michelle (My Secret

Garden) and Leamārie (Maha Medicine) with an holistic approach through

Breathwork, Gentle movement, Guided Meditation, Sound Healing, Rongoa

Māori tradition and a strong focus on Yoga Nidra (Sleep Yoga) bringing

you deeply home in you body.

This two hour journey addresses the physical, emotional, mental, and

spiritual aspects of well-being.

We will guide you through a beautiful two hours of deep connection to

yourself, your body, your heart, your breath and your spirit.

Take this time for you to be held and guided back home to yourself.

You will leave feeling calmer, more centered and very relaxed.

My Secret Garden

Michelle is the creatrix of My Secret Garden - a keen herbalist and
lover of all plant life, creating Medicine straight from nature is
simply a natural lifestyle for Michelle, she is deeply connected to the
earth, a poet, a passionate life-long student of the mind/body/breath
connection, a teacher of Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and Bikram Hot Yoga -
currently teaching 4-9 Hot Yoga classes per week.
Michelle is a Cacao facilitator co-creating bi-monthly Moon Ceremonies,
these two hour ceremonies incorporate Yoga Nidra, Breathwork, Guided
Meditation, Gentle movement and Sound healing.
Michelle has achieved both a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors and a
Black Belt first Dan in Kung Fu in the first half of her life. She
believes in creative self expression, physical strength building to heal
injury, both physical and mental, and the power of practicing Yoga
regularly as a form of meditation.
Michelle is now the owner of the beautiful, sacred space My Secret
Garden - a sanctuary and hub for healing arts of all kinds.

M.A.H.A Medicine….

Leamārie Sciascia Steffert is a dedicated practitioner of M.A.H.A
Medicine specialising in Rongoa Māori, Yoga, Recovery & Indigenous
Wisdom Traditions. Offering weekly Huānga Yin Yoga, and monthly New Moon
& Full Moon Kawakawa & Cacao Ceremonies. Leamārie provides
healing through Mirimiri, one-on-one, group sessions & retreats.
With over a decade of experience, Leamārie has presented and facilitated
at various festivals & events in Australia, Bali & New Zealand.
And as a Yoga Therapist at Ocean Hills Detox & Rehabilitation,
aiding individuals in their recovery from addiction, supporting their
mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical health.
Leamārie's passion for supporting others extends to her work with Wāhine
Māori transitioning from prison to mainstream society, as well as her
previous roles with “at risk” Youth and as the Young Mothers Program
Coordinator. She holds a BA in Sociology & Aboriginal Studies.
Leamārie brings a wealth of lived experience as she has navigated her
way through very dark times, terrible illnesses & her own journey of
recovery. This has given her a depth of wisdom & compassion in
sharing the tools of kete with all those who seek peace, freedom, joy
& healing.

**For people attending both Matiu's Haka Workshop and My Secret Garden

and M.A.H.A Medicine's New Moon Ceremony there will be an hour long

intermission in-between the two events where homemade vegan soup/stew,

homemade bread and locally sourced Herbal tea is available for anyone

who is hungry.
