Halloween Film Night 2025
Event description
Film Talks Presents: Halloween Film Night 2025
Get ready for a night of cinematic chills and festive frights! Since 2022, Film Talks’ Halloween Film Night has brought Wairarapa audiences together to explore classic horror films in a fun, immersive atmosphere. Over the past three years, we’ve journeyed through the shadows of 1920s German Expressionist cinema, and this year we step into 1930s Hollywood Gothic Horror with Universal Pictures’ The Bride of Frankenstein (1935)—a Gothic horror classic with unforgettable visuals, thrilling storytelling, and timeless appeal.
Doors open at 6:45 pm, and the movie begins at 7 pm at Aratoi, 12 Bruce Street, Masterton. Running time: 75 minutes.
Costumes are encouraged, with spot prizes for the best dressed, making it a night that’s as much about fun and community as it is about film. Perfect for families, friends, and cinephiles, the event promises shared laughs, playful scares, and a celebration of classic cinema. The film is not rated but recommended for ages 9+.
Book tickets to reserve your seat. Koha welcome: suggested $5. Your contribution helps support the event and keep Film Talks experiences running for the community.
Presented by Film Talks, in association with the Wellington Heritage Festival. This is an evening you won’t want to miss!
