The Hampton RSL Sub Branch is a cherished community hub that has been serving the Hampton area since 1945. Established by war veterans who returned from World War I, the Hampton RSL has a rich history and continues to honour the legacy of our brave servicemen and women.
Located at 25 Holyrood Street Hampton, the Hampton RSL is housed on the original property site named 'Wearside', which was purchased by the trustees in 1952. The Wearside Bar, one of the RSL's main attractions, pays homage to the original property and is a popular spot for members and visitors alike.
The Hampton RSL has grown and evolved over the years, adding lawn bowling rinks, a purpose-built snooker room, and most recently, Pickleball courts to its list of amenities.
While the Hampton RSL’s primary focus is to provide welfare to veterans and their families, it has also become an integral part of the local community. The Hampton RSL welcomes everyone to relax, enjoy good food, entertainment, and meet friends in a warm and welcoming environment. Join us at Hampton RSL, where history, community, and camaraderie meet.
