Hand building ceramic workshop with Maria Vanhees
Event description
In this full-day workshop, ceramic sculptor Maria Vanhees will be demonstrating the hand building and design processes that contributed to her skill development. Workshop participants will get plenty of opportunity for hands-on practice and will be working towards their own sculptural creations under Maria’s gentle guidance. The main focus will be on coil building and pinching techniques, on understanding and knowing the material, and on creating smooth surfaces and fluid curves. Practice opportunities will be adjusted individually to participant skill levels.
Finalised works from this session can be kiln fired for an extra fee: $10 per item
