Handbuilding with Clay over 5 Wednesday evenings in June

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Creating something with clay is a fun way to get creative while also practicing mindfulness. In this workshop you will create pieces using hand building techniques.

In each 2 1/2 hour session of you can expect to create 2-4 small pieces over the 2 hours or you may want to make something larger over the 5 weeks.

Over the five sessions, you will learn hand-building techniques with clay; pinch pots, slab building and coil pots. Once finished you can either take your pieces with you to be fired and glazed or leave them to be fired and glazed for you. If you want to continue for another 4 week session, you can leave your items to decorate and glaze yourself.

Materials: Sessions include lump of clay and tools to use. Firing and glazing and additional clay will be extra costs. Extra clay can be purchased in a kit that includes tools if you want to continue to make at home (on request).

Bring an apron and old towel, you’re bound to get dirty. For health and safety, please wear closed-in shoes.
