This September Handpicked Band takes on the legendary sounds of Phil Collins and Madonna, bringing some of the biggest and most recognisable hits of the '80s and '90s to the Canobolas Dance Hall.
From the unmistakable sounds of In the Air Tonight, Easy Lover, You Can't Hurry Love and Against All Odds to Madonna classics including Like a Prayer, Material Girl, Into the Groove and Like a Virgin. Expect a night packed with songs you know, love and probably can't help singing along to. And joining Handpicked Band for the night is one of Orange's standout local voices, Charlie Parker.
Forget the tribute show clichés, this is the Handpicked Band doing it their way - live, loud and right here in the Central West.

- What time do doors open?
Doors open from 6:00pm. Come early, grab a drink, settle in and soak up the atmosphere before the music kicks off.
- What time does the show start?
The show starts at 7:30pm. We recommend arriving early so you have plenty of time to get settled before the first song.
- Will there be food and is there a bar?
Absolutely. We'll have gourmet woodfired pizzas available throughout the evening, along with dessert for those with a sweet tooth. The Canobolas Dance Hall will have a full licensed bar serving a selection of beer, wine, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks - plus a signature cocktail inspired by the artists of the night.
- Can children attend?
All valid ticket holders are welcome. However, we recommend that parents consider whether the event is suitable for younger children. Canobolas Dance Hall is a fully licensed venue with full bar service, and the evening features loud live music and a later finish on a school night.
For this reason, the event is better suited to older children and teenagers who are comfortable in a lively, licensed live-music environment.
- Is the event seated or standing?
There will be a combination of seating and space to enjoy the show on your feet. If you're coming with a group, we recommend emailing the host prior to the event and request to for seating to be reserved together.
- Is the venue fully licensed?
Yes. Canobolas Dance Hall is a fully licensed venue. Please bring valid ID if you intend to purchase alcohol. No BYO alcohol is permitted.
- What should I wear?
Whatever you're comfortable dancing in and of course come prepared with warm layers. There's no dress code but if you're feeling inspired by Phil Collins or Madonna, we certainly won't stop you. 😉
