Hang On! A Mobile Making Workshop - March
Event description
If you’re a craft lover and enjoy learning new things, you’re in for a treat.
This is the first module out of two of our pająki-making workshop series beginner-level. Pająki (pronounced ‘pah-yonk-ee’) are wonderful folk ornaments originally from Poland but their delicate beauty has earned them a ticket to travel all around the world.
In this delightful 2hr session you'll learn the foundations of this beautiful craft:
- How to make Kalinka pom-poms
- How to work with rye straw
- Where to source your materials
- How to progress to more advanced levels of pająki-making
- How to keep your craft sustainable and enjoyable.
Tickets are available at a community price of $17.50. Your ticket includes all the materials you need. These are the last series of workshops for the season. Many thanks to Creative New Zealand! You're getting these workshops at a discounted community price thanks to the Creative Communities Scheme [the regular price for this workshop is $65].
Venue: St Paul's Parish, 64 Kensington Street, Putāruru, 3411.
The second module of the pająki-making workshop series beginner-level will be announced soon.
* Please note that there are no refunds unless the event is cancelled, however, you're able to transfer your ticket to someone else if you cannot attend.
