Our 46th season opens with Hao Yang, a 2026 Concert Artists Guild winner whose San Jose recital ended in a standing ovation.
Chinese classical guitarist Hao Yang is the winner of the 2024 Koblenz International Guitar Competition “Hubert Käppel”, the second prize winner of the 2024 GFA International Concert Artist Competition, and recipient of the 2026 Harvard Musical Association Foote Award and the 2026 CAG Louis and Susan Meisel Prize.
She made her Carnegie Hall debut premiering Paul Lansky’s guitar duo “Talking Guitars”, and has performed at the Kimmel Center, the National Centre for the Performing Arts, Miller Theatre and Princeton University, and at the Cleveland, Panama and Beijing International Guitar Festivals. She holds degrees from the Yale School of Music, the University of Denver and the Curtis Institute of Music.
