Event description

Connect with nature and let your creativity run wild with an afternoon of Hapa Zome flower hammering from this summer's vibrant blooms!

Enjoy a glass of bubbly (non alcoholic available as well) while you play with blooms and natural dye plants from my garden, making your own fabric creation!

You will be provided with treated fabric and array of flora to chose from and pick fresh. Experiment with colour and pattern, guided by trained Textile Designer Sophie.

Take home stunning fabrics for unique scarfs, wallhangings, tea towels or table cloths and the rich experience of making colour with nature!

You are welcome to bring your own white or neutral garment, scarf or additional fabrics to experiment with. (see @sofeed on social media for my explorations!)

If you have them, please bring along a mallet and ear protection as it can get noisy! We will have a range of equipment available, but it is always easier if you have a set of ear protection for yourself.

This class is strictly limited due to space and resources.

Location is Stanmore Bay, Whangaparaoa and address will be provided directly to ticket holders.

Cannot wait to get creative with you!

Sophie is a passionate low tox, slow seasonal living mum of two; advocating for time in nature, creativity and free play for both children and adults! She is a qualified BA Hons Textile Designer who began her career in an ethical textile mill, continued as an apparel buyer and now works from home with her loom and natural product business along side mum life!
