Event description

If you are a sensitive person and fancy a breather during lockdown - try one hour or so of Cy Twombly inspired, art-making, compassionate self-talk, clearing and connection to positive thoughts. To do this we will employ playful art, imagination and energetic techniques to enhance your creativity, imagination and mood and elevate your own and the group's positive energy, via Zoom. You do not need to be creative or have any art skills to participate. These sessions are free during the COVID-19 lockdown #free #payitforward

As these sessions progress in November and December 21 we will explore amazing Australian, female artists such as Elizabeth Cummings and Aida Tomescue to examine their mark making and be inspired by their creative practices. So you will not only be experiencing deep connection with self and similar others but you will also be on a pathway of expanded artistic knowledge. Interviews with some pretty amazing artists to come in 2022.

These activities are in no way a substitute for professional medical support when it comes to a walk in the dark garden of depression and anxiety. However the processes used in this workshop are like scheduling a moment of self-acknowledgement about how you feel presently and then imagining each new moment filled with connection, support and positivity.

Bring your pens, pencils, crayons, paints and paper, in as many colours as you can find, and some paper to Zoom. I will be raiding my child's art supplies. #Ilovecrayons. The Zoom link details will be emailed to you as part of the confirmation email.

Numbers are limited to 10 per class

Try the 4-5pm session this Saturday 18/9/2021. #free #Last September Session
