Travel instructions

Kentucky Horse Park is located approximately 18 minutes from Downtown Lexington. From Downtown Lexington: take Newtown Pike about 6 miles to Iron Works Pike, go approximately 2 miles and turn right onto Iron Works Parkway From Louisville: take I-64 E toward Lexington for approximately 70 miles, take exit 75 to merge onto I-75 N toward Cincinnati, take exit 120 onto KY-1973, Ironworks Pike, keep right onto KY-1973 South, go approximately .6 of a mile and turn left onto Iron Works Parkway

Entry instructions

When entering the Kentucky Horse Park, proceed through the parking gate attended entrance and turn right (follow signs), turn left towards large parking lots located in front of the Covered Arena. Walk through large iron rod gate and over bridge. Entrance is up the ramp on the right hand side.

After entry instructions

After you enter, you will proceed down to the arena floor via stairs or an ADA accessible ramp to where our vendors are located. On the upper level concrete concourse you will find restrooms, a food court with tables and chairs and bag/coat check.

Hazards

Our arena floor is packed dirt. While we focus heavily on packing it effectively, it can still cause issues for those with disabilities. Please just be mindful.

Toilet location

Restrooms are available on the upper level concourse which is the level you will enter the facility on.

Accessible parking

Handicap Parking is available.

Loading Zone

The Loading Zone is located on the back side of the arena. This area is blocked off to customers unless you can present the attendant with your Loading Zone ticket that is provided by the vendor you purchased your item from.

Pre-Purchase Ticket Holders

Gates open at 9:30am each day of the event for all pre-purchased ticket holders. The first 25 pre-purchased ticket holders in line each day get a VMD tote full of goodies!! One tote per ticketed, paid customer per event.

Pet- Friendly

We love fur babies so YES they are allowed if ON A LEASH and WELL BEHAVED. Please be mindful that our vendors have worked extremely hard on their products and sometimes display them on or near the ground. We ask that your pet use the restroom outside on the grassy area located just off the food court and that you pick up after your pet.

Venue Details

The arena is covered and protected from the rain and other elements however it is not climate controlled.
