Workshop on Harmonic Chanting (Tibetan Throat Singing)

For anyone enthusiastic to learn or simply curious

Vicki Taylor will give a fun explanation and demo of how to develop the three-note harmonic chanting technique commonly known as "Tibetan throat singing" particularly associated with Gyuto Monastery, based on over 40 years of experience. She'll also touch on its place in the history and culture of Tibetan Buddhism, as well as in her own Buddhist journey.

There'll be time for Q & A, plus opportunities to "give it a go". (Caveat: knowing how-to is no guarantee of being able-to; it's a difficult technique requiring both natural talent and a great deal of persistence in practice.)

Afterwards, there'll be tea & bikkies and a chance to mingle.
