Violinist Harry Wang and Young Steinway Artist pianist Jack Cheng will perform an enchanting concert at Mosman Art Gallery on 17/8/2025 .Their program features dazzling selections by Wieniawski, Ravel, and Franck’s Violin Sonata. Wang’s lyrical violin and Cheng’s expressive piano promise technical brilliance and deep emotion, creating unforgettable evening for audiences.

Jack Cheng has a Bachelor and Master of Music from the Manhattan School of Music and received a Licentiate of Music, Australia (LMusA) and Associate of Music, Australia (AMusA) from the Australian Music Examinations Board.
As a young Steinway artist he currently residing in Sydney, Jack is a professional concert pianist who has received numerous national and international accolades and scholarships. He also teaches piano and performs solo recitals, chamber music and other collaborative projects.
Over the years, jack has developed as a musician under the guidance of Clemens Leske, William Wolfram and the late Phillip Kawin. He has also collaborated with Marc Silverman, Alexander Korsantia, Ignat Solzhenitsyn, Matti Raekallio, Heasook Rhee and Phillip Shovk.
Jack has performed at venues across Australia, America, the United Kingdom and China, including the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Town Hall, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall and The Riverside Church in New York.
Committed to music education, community engagement and pedagogical research, Jack led a sold-out series of Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto Marathon performances across Australia in 2023 in honour of the composer's 150th anniversary.Jack is also the finalist of Australia National Piano Award in 2024.
Harry Wang Australian Chinese Violinist Harry Wang strives to share his passion for performing through the colorful nuances of the violin. He began his violin studies at the age of 7 with Professor Shi-Xiang Zhang, Suky Mo and Zhu Wen. Harry spent his high-school years studying with Professor Ole Bøhn in the Open Academy Rising Stars Programme at the Sydney Conservatorium with scholarship. Harry was awarded the Bicentennial Music Scholarship for his high-school education at The King’s School. He achieved his Associate and Licentiate of Music Diplomas with distinction at the age of 11 & 13, as well as winning 1st place at the Singapore International Solo Competition and Vienna Virtuoso Festival. Harry has attended a range of masterclasses with acclaimed violinists such as Zakhar Bron, Hukun, Ning Feng, Patinka Kopec, Danielle Belen, Fabiola Kim, Paul Kantor and Robin Wilson. He has performed as a soloist with the Mosman and Vienna Beethoven Academy Symphony Orchestras in the Sydney Town Hall and Musikverein Wein. After completing his HSC Examinations in San Francisco, Harry was selected for ENCORE Showcase and performed Wieniawski’s Polonaise in D Major at the Sydney Opera House. In addition, he is committed to helping students of all backgrounds in discovering their own passion for music, raising $24,000 for the Symphony for Life Foundation in a charity concert. Outside of the musical world, Harry is an avid fisherman and enjoys going off-shore to catch massive kingfish and tuna. Harry is currently working towards his Bachelor’s of Music degree in Violin Performance with Professor Simon James at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
