Harmony Week Celebration
Event description
Harmony Week is a time to celebrate Australian multiculturalism, based on the successful integration of migrants into our community. Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by a set of core Australian values.
Join us for a vibrant and fun-filled day at our Harmony Week Celebration in the gardens of Hazelhurst Arts Centre, where we celebrate diversity, unity and community! This free, family-friendly event will feature an exciting array of local group performances showcasing music, dance and cultural expression from all corners of our vibrant community.
What’s on offer:
- Live Performances: Enjoy talented local performers bringing a mix of cultural and contemporary music, dance, and more!
- Henna & Face Painting: Get creative with beautiful henna designs or transform your look with some fun face painting.
- Delicious Food : Treat yourselves to scrumptious Greek sweets, international street food and coffee while enjoying the rest of the fun.
- Community Art: Contribute to our public art installation with input from nearly 200 of our community members so far.
- Community Connection: Meet new people, learn about different cultures, and celebrate the unique diversity of our area.
Bring your family, friends, and neighbours to enjoy a day full of joy, laughter and cultural exchange! Let’s come together to embrace the beauty of our differences and celebrate what unites us.
