HARP YOGA
Event description
Communities at Work, community development program are collaborating with Jo Carroll from 11:11 Health and Wellbeing and Alison Ware from HarpCare, to provide you with a unique experience as part of their 'A Window to Wellness' series.
They will be holding a deeply relaxing 1hr session of Yin Yoga accompanied by the blissful sounds of the Harp. Yin Yoga is a floor-based practice, where you will hold each pose for a few minutes, providing your body support to relax deeply. At the end you will enjoy an extended relaxation to deeply release tension your body and mind as you listen to the soothing notes of the harp.
This activity will be held at the Denman Village Community Centre (Bugang Room) on Saturday 31st May from
1:30 to 2:30pm. After the session, stay and enjoy a cup of tea with your community to connect, and take
advantage of the shared energy of relaxation.
Jo Carroll is a qualified 200hr ISHTA Yoga and 75hr Yin Yoga teacher from 11:11 Health and Wellbeing who teaches here
in Molonglo Valley, her yoga teaching style is gentle, supportive and tailored to the individual’s needs.
Alison is the owner of HarpCare and is a Creative Arts Therapist, Counsellor and Clinical Musician. For the past 18 years she has specialised in the use of the Harp for health, healing, wellbeing, and creativity. www.harpcare.com.au
